Tues 7th August '01 - 18.43pm: I couldn't really concentrate at work today. I overcharged an old lady by 40p for a novelty ruler. She could've been really annoyed about it but she just said, 'Ah, you're a bonny lad,' cackled, and walked out of the shop. I kept thinking about Anna. I went for a walk at lunch time to clear my head. I saw Olivia Destiny going into Raymondo McLachlan's (the hairstylist). I didn't follow her in as I thought it might be a bit weird. She hasn't texted me again, so I've decided to leave it for a while. As far as I know, sir, she's still with her fiance John DuBrie. The baby's due towards the end of October. She looks quite big doesn't she? Anna came into the shop after lunch. I said, 'Hello, it's nice to meet you.' She's got blonde hair, but I'm fairly sure it's from a bottle because I could see her brown roots, but that doesn't necessarily pose any problem. She's quite nice looking, with a warm smile, and a bit taller than me. I thought, 'If I end up hugging her she'll probably crush me!' She looks a bit older than 34, but of course I didn't say that. We have agreed to go to the pictures. I mentioned that I hadn't seen The Mummy Returns, but she told me there was this film on at the Coffee Pot (the art house cinema in Shepherdsfield), called 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.' She said she's been a lifelong fan of Richard Burton, whoever he is. It sounds quite boring but she pressed the issue, so I decided to happily go along with it. I'm meeting her there at 7.15pm. |
