Welcome to englishbanana.com...! ... a collection of English and drama games. In publishing these games and activities on the web I’m not in any way laying claim to inventing them. No surprise there then! Many have been around since the first teacher put down his or her makeshift spear, picked up a discarded mammoth’s tooth, and began chalking the first hangman board on the wall of their cave/classroom. I’ve adapted some of the games, but others are pretty much 'as is'. What they share in common is that they have all worked well in substantial (if rather unscientific and unclinical) trials at the training centre (and, indeed, classroom) where I work! englishbanana.com aims to be a quick resource point for any teacher who needs a no-nonsense game or activity, or a germ of an idea to try with their class. Feel free to copy as much stuff as you want from this site. I hope you have a good time with it. There isn’t a fool-proof way to approach any of this stuff. The best way will always be the one that suits your particular group of students and meets their learning needs at the time when you use it.
